Friends

We're going to take a few seconds of your space and mention some of the fine musical activities happening regularly at a new jazz club, The Firefly Club in Ann Arbor (207 S Ashley St, Ann Arbor, Ml, 48104, 734.665.9090). We don't have an official press release, but our Intrepid Correspondent has it from a reliable that the Firefly has jazz pretty much every night of the week. Regular groups will include bassist Paul Keller and his fantastic Sextet, groups led by U of M professor Ellen Rowe and local piano legend Rick Roe, and a great trad jazz group led by saxophonist/cornetist Paul Klinger that used to tear it up on Fridays when this location was the Bird of Paradise. Speaking of the Bird, the Paul Keller Orchestra will be at the ŒFly on Mondays, and word has it that beautiful songstress Susan Chastain will be a frequent musical guest, and there will be good food to accompany the sessions as well. Isn't Ann Arbor cool?
